Topic: Research Progress in Electromagnetic Metasurface Design and Applications
Time: (Tuesday), June 4, 2024, 9:00–11:00
Venue: 1F Lecture Hall, School of Computer, Electronics and Information
Abstract: Electromagnetic waves serve as crucial carriers for radar and wireless information transmission, and modulating them to meet application requirements has been a focal point of research in recent years. Metasurfaces, as a frontier topic in international research over the past decade, provide significant means for controlling electromagnetic waves. Research achievements in this area have been featured multiple times in Science's annual top ten advances, covering studies on metasurface control of electromagnetic wave amplitude, phase, polarization, and phase front shaping. The reports also summarize progress in engineering applications such as communications and radar.
